Karen Robertson, Graduate Student Counselor
Karen is a lifelong Florida resident. She has earned degrees from University of
South Florida, University of Florida, and is currently completing a Masters Degree
in Mental Health Counseling at Asbury Theological Seminary. She is also certified
as a Prepare and Enrich facilitator (a program primarily designed for premarital
counseling and marital relationships).
Karen brings much life experience to the Gilstrap practice. She feels specifically
lead into the counseling field at this specific time in her life. It is her desire
to walk along side those who are trying to make their way through dark places in
their own lives and into a healthy newness in life.
She and her husband have raised 2 daughters and a son. They also have a beautiful
daughter (Rachel) who lives in their hearts until they meet again.
Karen has specific interests in: drug addictions and intervention, miscarriage,
infant and childhood death, grief, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression
and child and adolescent conflict.
