Brandon Gantt, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Brandon grew up in Charleston South Carolina before moving to South Alabama. He
earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from Troy University in 2001, and a master's
degree in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in 2008. He is currently
completing a master's degree in Divinity, also from RTS.
Brandon has experience in counseling with people from many different backgrounds
in churches, mission organizations, and the graduate school clinic where he completed
his counseling internship. These experiences have led Brandon to believe that the
uniquely honest and confidential environment of the counseling relationship provides
a context for people to focus on parts of their lives that get overlooked outside
the counseling relationship.
Brandon's approach to counseling is multifaceted and relational, focused on what
will best help the client. He seeks to create a counseling relationship of trust
so clients feel free to be themselves, regardless of issues they may be struggling
with. Brandon comes alongside clients and walks with them toward relief to symptoms,
believing that symptoms are the doorway to core issues of the heart.
Brandon enjoys working with both adults and teens around a variety of issues, including
the following: sex addiction, anger/control, emotional abuse, men's issues, sexual
abuse, compulsive behaviors, couples/marriage, depression, anxiety, post traumatic
stress, divorce, and bereavement/grief/loss.
